At Second Hand Dog Rescue, some of our dogs have been waiting for years - not because they aren’t amazing companions, but because they don’t fit the “perfect” mold. Many need to be the only dog in a home, yet they’re currently living with fosters who already have other pets. That means they’ve never had the full experience of being someone’s one-and-only.

Our Forever Foster Program changes that.

When you become a Forever Foster, you give one of these long-term residents a permanent, loving home - and we cover their expenses for life. That includes flea/tick and heartworm prevenatives, annual vet visits, and any other necessary medical care. We’ll even help with transportation to appointments and other supports, if needed.
