We're entirely volunteer foster-based, which means we don't have a shelter location. When you say YES to fostering a dog (or two!), you allow us to save another life. After approval, we'll talk about a good fit for your home, family, and lifestyle. You'll be assigned a Foster Liason who will be your go-to person for questions, concerns, guidance. SHDR provides all supplies, vetting, loaner crate if needed, etc. Our fosters will tell you it's a very gratifying way to make a HUGE difference. It's a fun family endeavor that helps teach giving back, too.
- Puppies to seniors
- Medium to large size mostly, but occasional smalls
- Moms with young pups not yet ready for adoption
- Special needs dogs
